Hooking up a 12V supply to Thermostat, fan and LED?
I'm making a rig to control temperature in a small cooler for fermenting beer. I've got a thermostat that when it reads the temp is too warm will turn on a fan and an indicator light that tells me it on. This fan pulls cold air from an ice bucket to cool off the chamber.
Question: How to hook all this up without frying things. I know nothing about electronics.
12V DC 1 amp power supply
Household thermostat (how to hook this up may require another thread but I think I've got it?)
Common computer fan (3")
Couple options for LEDs
red 12VDC max 20mA with integrated resistor
white FW current 25mA, FW supply 3.3v typical, 3.6v max
I have some 1K Ohm resistors but not sure if that's right or wrong.
