does food coloring have a different effect in tap, well or distilled water?
my daughter is doing a science experiment and wanted to know how food coloring would mix with the three different types of water.
Well water is often much more alkaline than distilled water.
There is no uniform meaning to tap water, but a lot of tap water is chlorinated. Both chlorination and alkalinity do affect coloring.
