On stage. What contrasts with the lighting. Can you describe make-up used for B&W TV?
There are hot lights and cool lights, daylights and spot lights. What do you do to stand out as needed?
I am tecno minded and a photog with film experience. I think lighting is everything for the moment to make the experience impressionable. With out a concept of lighting and location how can you not be plain Jane in a B movie?
As far as stage makeup goes, the overall goal is to create definition, depth, and color to your face that would otherwise not be there without makeup.
First, you will want to use a contour in heavy, somewhat blended streaks right under your cheekbones, along the sides of your nose, and along your jawline.
Next, you'll want to use some black eyeliner around your eyes to make them more noticeable. Then, add some rose/red colored blush to the apples of your cheeks and to the brow bones to give some color to your face. Finally, apply some of the blush (if its a cream blush) or some flesh colored lipstick to your lips to give them some color and make them visible under the bright lights of the stage.
