A few questions about Super Smash Bros Brawl?
1) Why do all the CPU players gang up on me even if its a free for all? I tried to jump off the stage and the CPUs barely hit each other and just all walk toward the direction where I jumped off
2) Whats up with the hit boxes? I can never seem to perfect meteor smashes even though I'm very sure it would have hit...where or when exactly do I need to hit someone in order for it to succeed?
3) What is an easy way to do short hops? I usually end up doing a big jump which ruins the combos i had in mind. Same goes for doing light attacks...i end up doing smash attacks instead...other people always use light attacks successfully but i can never pull it off because i end up either doing a smash attack or jumping..
1) It's just how they were programmed. Probably for more of a challenge to the player, but I don't know for sure why.
2) What do you mean perfect meteor smashing? You need to clarify this question a bit, and also the answer depends on the character you are using. For characters like Marth you need to hit exactly with the tip of his blade during his D-air animation, if you hit with anything but that then it acts as a normal hit. So if you could give more information that will make things easier.
3) For this question, I'll ask you a question... Are you using a Gamecube/Classic controller? If not, then that will help considerably. How high you jump is not how hard you hit the jump button, but how fast you hit it. So if you had a Gamecube/Classic controller, you could tap X or Y which makes it much more easy.
Same thing applies for light attacks/aka tilts. An analog stick makes performing them much more simple then on a Wiimote. For example to perform a forward tilt and not a forward smash, you just have to lightly hold forward (halfway is good) and press A. Holding all the way forward will result in a smash. Or you can just CC it.
