Why does my mouse take about 1 min to become active after sleep mode?
About 6 months ago, I got a new desktop computer that has Windows Vista. All was going well with the new computer, and it still is, but i have one weird problem.
As of about 2 months ago, every single time i "wake" the computer up out of sleep mode, the mouse is completely inactive for about 1 full minute. I can tell it has power because it is a laser mouse, and the bottom is lit up, but the computer is making sounds as if the mouse is being unplugged and plugged in repeatedly for about a minute before it starts to work.
I suppose it isn't too vital of a problem, but it is really annoying. Any ideas on why? Or better yet, how to fix it?
Oh, and I forgot to mention this:
I didn't change anything (to my knowledge) that may have caused this to start happening. I have always used the same mouse. I have tried plugging it into different ports and everything. It's just weird
I took that advice
But the USB Selective Suspend Setting was already disabled
Try downloading an updated version of the mouse driver and installing it.
