Design Help Needed! How to enhance my hand-drawn artwork?
I am looking for anyone's advice on how to better my artwork. I free-hand my artwork/drawings etc but I want to transfer them to my computer to be able to add more effects, color and details. So far the only thing that has somewhat worked is taking a picture of the piece and loading it on my computer and then working on it in whatever program. i didn't know if there was a more efficient way to do this?
Sometimes I get glares from the light in the photos and they are NEVER as clear as the drawing itself! I am hoping to get a scanner soon but any advice would be appreciated!
Also, if you know, how do you go about transforming hand-drawn lines to more professional-looking (coloring book - type) lines that are uniform and definite?
To digitize hand drawn art, you might need a digitzing tablet. Look up WACOM on google. But for pencilling work, capturing the drawing with a camera is actually easier. If you do not have a scanner and want to use a camera, but you will need to setup a rig for it. Take a cue from this website about digitizing from paper.

Hopefully this will help you out with the glares and straightening out the paper.
If you mean cleared "inked" lines, you will need to purchase tracing paper. You will put this on top of your hand drawn picture, and trace with a wide tip pen. Preferable something with ink.
look to purchase something like these

you should experiment with other tools, to eventually know what best suits you;
Good Luck
