Rotating Disco Ball

Have you seen the Bogart/Bergman film CASABLANCA?
I first saw it almost fifty years ago, and I've viewed it again many times since. I thought that I knew a lot of trivial details of the film, but watching it last night, I was startled to see the rotating disco ball in one scene. I'm curious if anyone else noticed it.
Tin Can Sailor: It appears in the flashback to Paris when they're dancing before the Nazis sweep in. I happened to notice the ball and then the flashing light against the backdrop. Next to Chaplin's Modern Times and City Lights, it's on my list of favorites as well.
It is my favorite movie of all time and I don't seem to remember that. It has been a while since I watched it but you just set up my Thanksgiving night. I am going to watch it again, love the movie. I'll let you tomorrow if I don't fall asleep, I have the flu and am pretty tired. It could be that they had a ball like that back in 1942 when the film was released.
Edit: You are absolutely correct. There is the "disco ball" in the dance scene in Paris. It is for sure the ball goes way back before the disco craze. I am wondering if it may be possibility to find the ball in some movies from the 20's or 30's. Maybe something like "The Ziegfeld Follies" or "Grand Hotel" or some such.
