The Ghostbusters game for the PS3 is show at only 540p resolution, does it look a lot worse than the 360?
It is known that the PS3 version of Ghostbusters is only shown at 56% of the resolution of the 360. But considering that the resolution tend not to matter as much as contrast ratio, colour saturation and colour accuracy(http://www.cnet.com/hdtv-resolution) at HD resolution, after proper "scaling", using a HDMI cable, turning on Superwhite and full RGB, does it really look significantly worse than other games running at 720p?
How does it REALLY match up with the 360 version when both console settings are set to maximum?
The resolution problem of the GB is the only thing holding me back from buying.
GB doesn't look good on both consoles... It looks even worse on the PS3. The difference is simply that where the 360 version is sharper, PS3 version uses blur effect to hide the aliasing issues. the game doesn't look that bad on the PS3, but the textures seem to be flat and with no depth on the PS3 version. RGB and super white don't fill in for low texture pack which really pisses me off. Although the lower resolution doesn't affect much if you own a 720P 32-40" TV. However, if you go to a bigger display, then the low res starts showing up.
Frankly speaking, the game is average at best. The graphics are nothing to brag about on both consoles, and the gameplay is repetitive... zap a ghost, keep zapping and moving it until it tires and then capture it.... gets boring after sometime.
Try Infamous or Red Fraction Guerilla instead... Much better games than GB.
Terminal Reality, the devs of GB are really lazy douchebags. Why should PS3 owners get a bad port when we pay the same as the 360 owners...
