Why is abortion "all or nothing" for the parties?
Liberals defend abortion rights absolutely and conservatives want to abolish abortion. Am I the only one who is pro choice, but thinks the choice should be made within days, not months? Am I the only one who thinks very early stage abortion should be allowed, but abortions should be outlawed past the stage of viability?
It really bugs me when people say, "It's my body." That is a false statement and it only enrages pro life people when they hear it. The body may not have any rights, but it is NOT a part of the mother's body. It is inside the mother's body, but it has its own DNA, therefore can't possibly be part of the mother's body.
Because is has to be an all or nothing. Either you believe in the rights of a woman to end a pregnancy or you believe in the rights of the unborn child. As for me the rights of a living being out weighs the rights of inconvenience.
