I'm looking for a pro-sumer DSLR which will work well in low-light conditions, like shooting stage shows?
I shoot a lot of stage shows, and have not been totally happy with the output of any of my digital cameras. I need a camera where I can retain a lot of the beautiful stage lighting, is fast and has a good autofocus/white balance. I'd also like lens recommendations. Thanks!
The trick to taking good photos in stage light is not as much the dslr but the lens. Remember the camera body is just a device to capture the image either on a chip or film. The lens is the most important part of the system.
Look for a good DSLR that you feel comfortable with and then pick out a lens with at least a 2.8 aperture. This allows the lens to open up more and allow more light to reach the sensor. It is like how your eyes open wider when it is darker.
