I have a HP Pavilion a6337c, PC and HPw22o7h monitor.?
The recommended graphics card from HP is a ATI Radeon X1650Pro PCIE 512MB. I have heard some bad things about this card. Further more, anymore 512 MB is like so small. So, what graphics card would I need for my HP and what is the highest MB/GM/T I would be able to get? Really interested in knowing the prices and where to get the best deal. Oh, and while your are at it can you wash my windows, polish the chrome on my car and mow my lawn? I have a nasty eye infection and am not aloud to do outside and play.... thus, I am working on my computer.
I would prefer to buy through Amazon if I can get it through them....however, I am more interested in getting the best card for my money.

Manufacturers such as HP or Dell seem to configure a particular model, set up its options, and then move on. They never come back to update an existing model. So it's not surprising that they recommended the ATI Radeon X1650Pro PCIE 512MB at the time that your system was designed. But technology has moved on and it moves very quickly in graphics cards.
The good news is that you are looking at PCI express, not AGP or PCI so you should have no compatibility problems. Any PCIe card should work in your system.

I suggest that you look at video cards on NewEgg. There are also good articles on video cards on Zdnet and C|net. The Radeon 4850 for $200 and the 4870 are the latest from AMD/ATI and are the current leaders. Nvidia has dropped the 9800GTX pricing to about $220 to compete with them. I can't recommend Newegg highly enough. You will find that their user reviews are extremely helpful.
