My house has a stage (the size of a small rock club's stage) in the lower level, and we are in the process of choosing all the colors of the walls to be painted. I'm having a hard time choosing the right color for the wall on the stage because I will be using stage lights and/or colored flood lights. The stage will be used for a rock/metal band where some parties may take place and/or some videos may be filmed. I want it to look at least half decent, somewhat like what you would find in a club.
My issue is this: with colored lights being used, what type of color/shade should I paint the wall? I hear that stage walls are usually dark, which is better for stagelights, but I also don't want the paint to change the hue of the stagelights.
