Moon Flower Light

can you edit my poem?
We are critters of the night,
No, we do not require friends
Nor family of such.
We like our solitude so leave us be,
Sounds and songs sung by insect's stillness,
With neighboring plants filled with animation,
This nation of conversation excludes us.
Our two gray antennas in the attic,
Serves no purpose as we lay dormant,
Only catching the slightest change in light or smell.
We lay dormant in the shady grass,
Each tower of a flower is a roman column
Of Renaissance gold and serenity.
As we hide from the bright sun,
And the blue sky and the unique kites,
Rest assured though new stranger walking by,
Come back and see our silvery mark in the moon light.
It needs more than editing , I'm afraid! Are you a critter or an insect (there is a difference) and are you in the grass or in the attic? What's it all about, Alfie? There are a lot of meaningless lines and the whole thing lacks any kind of uniformity, discipline and order. Don't be discouraged. You know what you are saying and you should not stop. It's not easy, or EVERYONE would be a poet!
