Sorry, I'm not good with contrast ratios. On the samsung site, it says there is a mega contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 but on best buys site, it says 1000:1..Help?,
Also, do you think they will make a bigger one, maybe 26 or 27 inch before Christmas?
Yes, those are the same model. The spec you are seeing on best buy is the static contrast ratio, and the one on Samsung's site is dynamic. Dynamic contrast ratio is created by the monitor automatically turning the brightness up and down depending on what's on the screen. Static is the actual contrast ratio that can be displayed at one time by the pixels. Ignore dynamic. once you set your monitor to anything but the automated dynamic mode (which, if you want a good picture you will), your contrast ratio got from 5,000,000, back down to 1,000... which is not actually a bad static contrast ratio.
According to what they've said, the won't be coming out with a larger LED monitor this year. There are of course endless non LED monitors that are much bigger.
