Master Slave Sound

I have read that, according to Islam, it is forbidden for a slave to run from his master. Is this true?
I have read that, according to Islam it is forbidden for a slave to run from his master.
I did not read this in the Qu'ran. I read this from a list of things which were Haram - but I am not sure how accurate the list is.
Anyway, I was surprised to read this as, at first, I thought it sounded a bit pro-salvery. I'm not saying it is pro-slavery, I might be misinterpreting the rule. I don't mean to disrespect God or the Qur'an or Muslims.
Anyway, could someone please elaborate on this rule - if it is indeed a rule that is?
Thanks in advance for your help.
