Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R
EVGA 9800GTX 512MB PCI-Express
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E7200 - 2.5 ghz
4GB DDR2 PC6400 TWINX MEMORY / CORSAIR
Thermaltake Purepower 500W Power Supply
Seagate 500GB Serial ATA/300 16MB Buffer
MICROSOFT WINDOWS XP HOME UPGRADE WITH SP2
if there are some parts that are not good please let me know thanks. and im also trying to keep it under 1000. thanks
It all looks good. A better power supply MIGHT be an option but thermaltake usually makes pretty good stuff and its rated watts will be accurate. Dont cheap out on the power supply though I have had cheapos burn up my whole system. Everything else is more than adequate for modern gaming.
Windows XP 32 bit (which is the one you will want) can only access 4GB of RAM total at any given time. That includes your RAM and the video ram (which is 512 MB.) So in theory you will have 3.5 GB of ram, and then 512MB of video RAM. You always want your RAM sticks paired up with another of the same size, so going for 3.5 GB is not a good option. You probably want either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, just know that if you go with 4GB there will be about 512MB that never gets used.
