Amber beacons - what is a good one to buy?
I do a lot of highway work and need to get an amber beacon. What is a good one to buy? LED, rotating, etc? It needs to be a detachable one.
It really depends on what kind of use you need to put it too. Long or short duration with or without engine running. Rotating is fine for short duration or with engine running and are quite cheap, led is better for long duration as it only takes milliamps to run so it will work for hours with very little battery drain but they are considerably dearer.
