GTX 560ti Monitor Detection Issue?
I have an Acer S240HL 24" LED HD monitor and my new GTX 560 TI (that replaced a ATI 5770) doesn't want to detect my native resolution which is 1920x1080. Instead it is stuck on 1024x768 - I can force the desktop to display at 1920x1080 by selecting customise in the Nvidia control panel but when i load up any game it will not let me select 1080. Instead it is stuck at 1024x768.
I have tried re-installing Windows 7 64bit, tried the latest beta drivers and have also tried rolling back to 3 older drivers? im lost in what to do?
I am using DVI to VGA (as this monitor doesn't have DVI input for some reason (my last card worked fine at 1080 with this config)) and i have tried HDMI which does work at 1080 but i cant get the colours to stop looking washed out in rift (tried changing the gamma to no real effect).
I get the feeling you don't have a Acer S240HL as the spec. sheet says it does have a DVI port and max. res. of 1920 x 1080. you can up the res in the control port or from windows but it may be the game that's not allowing it through the adapter.
