I would say yes but not as popular in Dubai. Visual Effects and Laser Entertainment Companies need to really push their marketing effort hard.
Example - Dubai. The massive Laser show during Water Fantasia sponsored by Al Rostamani is now a must see and a must have event during the Dubai Shopping Festival in Dubai.
Similar Festival is happening in Qatar ahead of the Dubai one but the Laser Shows are just a rare happenings for some private sponsors only.
I have watched the Laser Shows every year during the Dubai Shopping Festival and the combination of Lasers, Water, & Sound are just mind boggling...
