Be sure to include the carbon load of transporting all the artists, crew, and spectators to the venues and back home again, plus the energy used by the sound, lighting, laser shows, and tranmission equipment, plus the energy used by all the garbage trucks that clean up the mess.
Bonus question: How much of this was unnecessary? Could Sting have played their show unplugged? Could Madonna have used one fewer laser? Please elaborate.

This is the same earth, by the way, that began a few billion years ago as a molten ball of goo being bombarded by chunks of space stuff, finally cooled, created its own oceans, land masses and atmosphere, supported life for a few hundred million years while in the meantime surviving major and minor meteor strikes, comet collisions, volcanoes, earthquakes, flash freezes and meltdowns and entire continents floating around on top of its still molten core. Seems like the earth will be just fine all by itself. But don't despair, Sting will sing a song and stabilize everything for us.
