Major PC new build dilemma?
I to design my own PC, mainly for gaming that would last some time and not be out of date for quite a while. These are the parts i opted for but now have doubts;
Intel® Core 2 Quad Q9550
Standard CPU heatsink & fan
Asus P5N-T Deluxe (nForce 780i chipset, 3-way SLI)
4.0GB Corsair DDR2 1066mhz Dominator (4x 1GB)
Hard Drives: 1TB S-ATAII 3.0Gb/s
2 X 20x DVD±RW DL S-ATA Lightscribe
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 896MB
Onboard 7.1 Audio
Microsoft® Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit
22" Asus VK222S Widescreen LCD
30-in-1 USB Media Card Reader
PCI Digital TV Tuner Card
750W Thermaltake Toughpower
Case: Antec Nine Hundred
After ordering my new pc i am now worried, like when you get a new mobile phone a new and better one comes along a week later. When reading on yahoo answers and other reviews there is always someone calling your graphics card choice, motherboard or proccessor, and now intel have just released the i7 chip. My head is all over the place.
Don't keep the stock fan, it's HORRIBLE. Get a 3rd party one. Also, your computer should be fine for at least 2 years as long as you keep overclocking it to keep up. Also get the twelve hundred if you plan to Sli. The power supply is not something I would recommend as multi-rail is not good for Sli-ing,other than that, you'll be fine with that power supply.
