Green Show Laser

Is it possible to have a white laser diode?
When I say this I mean not three diodes of red, blue and green but one laser diode of real white that when analyzed by a machine will show to be completely balanced on all visible wavelengths. Are they available to buy, if not can they be manufactured and ordered and if not can it be made by hand? How would you suggest I go about making it into a functional laser if possible and is it possible to make it hand held? And, to cap of the questions how much might it cost?
Please, only people who know what they are talking about answer.
No, really.
REALLY.
I don't care if the definition of a laser or the workings of a true laser requires it to be monochromatic, what I am interested in is anything that is effectively a laser (A powerful beam of completely polarized light).
There are so-called supercontiuum lasers which produce a very broad spectrum. See here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supercontinuum or http://www.nktphotonics.com/superk or http://www.toptica.com/products/ultrafast_fiber_lasers/femtofiber_pro/femtofiber_pro_scir.html .Most of them work in the infraread range, but you could in principle use second harmonics generation or similar nonlinear effects to shift this to the visible wavelenghts. But afaik these are fiber-lasers and no true "white laser diodes".
