Red twinkling "star" Saturday Night in midwest?
So I saw this amazing BRIGHT "star" Saturday night/Sunday morning.
It wasn't a satelight or airplane because it stayed visibily stationary for the hour or so I checked on it. Around 1 am it was in the West and probably about 45 deg above the horizon (I'm not 100% sure about how high it was). It twinkled almost looking like it was going from Red to Green to Yellow--really facinating.
It wasn't the International Space Station, that was only visible for 6 mins at a time in my area and not on that night; this object didn't move much.
I wondered if maybe it was Jupiter?
Does anyone know?
Jupiter, Mars or just to the upper left of Orion's belt is the red giant star Betelgeuse.
