Stage Lighting And Effects Equipment

Ya....so i remember buying a final fantasy game almost 10 years ago for the PlayStation and now i have no idea where it is and i think i lost it or something

so all i remember when playing was in the beginning of the game, i guess i was on some kind of ship on sea looking at what looked like a battle field......i also remember there being a dog that followed you or something......i also remember one of the female characters you had an attack that could summon some kind of water dragon or typhoon tsunami type thing from a mountain to wash an enemy away....the last thing i remember was fighting some powerful characters and then a giant satellite emerged from the ground and shot off a laser into the sky and then i think some kind of red dragon demon looking thing popped out of nowhere and i think it ate one of the enemy characters

so ya.....does anyone know which final fantasy game i had?
