If you can stand it, and you don't have the desire ruin someone else's life or to make them miserable; if you don't want to put yourself out there, you recognize it's easier to not make yourself vulnerable and you know you can never give anyone all of you, you can never trust "them", don't think it is just better to be alone?
I understand where you are coming from, but generally I have never felt that way. I consider one of the main purposes for my life as interacting with people and developing relationships.
It sounds to me like you are generally introverted. But you have been hurt by those close to you frequently. My recommendation is to keep your friends close, your enemies far away, enjoy life and don't sweat what you can't control. Put yourself out there, take a chance, have fun.
