Need help decorating room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Okay, so I am 16, Im a guy, and I want to make my room look cooler. It looks nice, I have a very mature looking theme. My walls are a golden wheat color. All my furniture is wood, i have a retro brown plaid couch. Most of the stuff i have was received free from friends or craigslist, so im workin on a budget here, the parents definately would not waste money helpin me do this.
So now that you know the deal, what I'm aiming for is a light thing. And what mean is lights, such as black lights, LED lights, party lights. Just lights in general. I have like 3 blacklights, but i was maybe thinking of some LED light strips and hiding them all over my room, then being able to hit a switch and turn them all on. I found this online, but it was expensive, so its outta the question. So what do you guys recommend? Sorry if this is a little broad, so feel free to throw anything out there. Thanks guys!
Sounds like you have an eclectic retro theme going. So if you can find 50's or 60's style lamps on craigslist, that would look pretty cool. Like Danish bubble lamps, along with black lights, lava lamps and optic fiber lights would make your room look great.
For more light, the multi armed lights (sometimes called medusa lamps) would work in the retro theme.
Ikea sometimes has cheap cool retro style lighting.
